On August 8 this year, Vice President of Alibaba.com Chris Joe visited our country for the first time in history and met with Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Trade Group.
With the support of the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Embassy of our country in the People’s Republic of China, BMB Export-Import Global created its page on the world’s most popular online store, the Alibaba.com platform, which was awarded status “Golden Supplier”.
This page contains detailed information about saffron, dried fruits, leguminous products, as well as other agricultural products grown in our country, which can be exported to the world market by BMB Trade Group.
During the visit, representatives of Alibaba.com witnessed government support for partners, exporters and programs, and also got acquainted with further plans in this direction.
Also during the day, Alibaba.com Vice President for Strategic Development Chris Joe met with the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov.
At the meeting, attention was paid to the development of economic activity through affordable electronic services, the improvement of the skills of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of e-commerce.
Today, the market for leguminous plants and various fruits is expanding in our country, and the level of exports is increasing. On the same day, Vice President of Alibaba.com Chris Joe met with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov and got acquainted with the export of agricultural products and the effective work carried out in the field, and made comments on mutual cooperation.
