PLANTING OF SAFFRON BULBS IMPORTED FROM ITALY HAS BEGUN
As you know, since 2020, a major investment project for the cultivation, processing, and export of saffron has been underway in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region by BMB-OPERA ZAFFERANO, a joint venture established by BMB HOLDING and FIN.OPERA s.r.l. (Italy).
With the start of the current season, exemplary planting activities of the next batch of saffron bulbs imported from Italy are taking place in the company’s plantations. This process, which requires special knowledge and experience, is in full swing with the involvement of mainly local population representatives.
In the future, high-quality “red gold” and about fifteen saffron products will be prepared from the saffron grown on this land and directed to both export and domestic markets.
