MEETING WITH THE MINISTER OF TOURISM AND CREATIVE ECONOMY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

On October 3 of this year, a meeting was held at the head office of BMB HOLDING between the Chairman of the Holding’s Supervisory Board, Bekzod Mamatkulov, and a delegation led by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and Indonesia in the areas of gastronomic, agro, and pilgrimage tourism. They explored the possibility of organizing visits to Uzbekistan (including saffron plantations in Bakhmal) for over 2 million pilgrims traveling annually from Indonesia before their Umrah journey. Other topics included organizing international events to promote Uzbek-Indonesian national cuisine, collaborating on the sale of deeply processed agricultural products grown by BMB HOLDING organizations in Southeast Asian markets, and exporting saffron products under the BMB Za’faron brand to the Indonesian market.

It is worth noting that this meeting was held as a logical continuation of long-term cooperation. In fact, the BMB GLOBAL SAYOHAT enterprise has been collaborating in the field of tourism for many years.

Sandiaga Uno is a former prominent Indonesian entrepreneur, investor, and politician, currently serving as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. He participated in the presidential elections held in Indonesia in 2019.

As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached for the Holding delegation to visit Indonesia to develop joint projects in the aforementioned areas, further expand mutual cooperation, and exchange positive experiences between the two sides.
