Expanding prospects for cooperation in the energy sector on the basis of public-private partnership
April 10 this year a meeting was held between the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov.
During the dialogue, issues related to expanding cooperation with the Ministry of Energy in the implementation of construction work being built in the Sharaf Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region of the Modern Agrological Complex, as well as improving housing infrastructure for the local population, were discussed.
At the meeting, a number of presentations of international investment projects implemented by the company in our country were presented.
In addition, the minister was briefed on the activities of the recently established subsidiary BMB Green Energy, which is operating in view of the high demand in our country for renewable energy sources.
In particular, it was noted that this company held talks with Chinese businessmen regarding a promising partnership, as a result of which agreements were signed for the supply of photovoltaic equipment from China to our country for a total of 30 million US dollars.
As a result of the meeting, which was held in a constructive and businesslike spirit, the parties reached an agreement on the implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of public-private partnership in the field of energy and a number of other promising areas.
